Our Company :
Powergates® is a pioneering company in the area of gate automation systems and is Pakistan’s leading company in this field. We offer a range of systems and solutions to automate almost any type of gate. We have established an international contract manufacturing and strategic sourcing network as well as our own research and development facility at our head office in Karachi, Pakistan. Our company started its launch from Karachi in June 2002. After successful technical testing and market response, we gradually extended a national rollout starting with Lahore & Islamabad in 2003 and Faisalabad and Multan in 2004. We plan to expand operations to other cities in the years to come. Powergates plans to convert its first mover advantage to dominant player status in this market.

Need for Access Automation :
Entrances, gates, doorways and locks fulfill a genuine need for security and privacy. However, they are also an obstruction to free flow of traffic and a hindrance to movement in general.
Millions of man-hours are wasted each day and unimaginable inconvenience is created by the need to repeatedly open and close entrance systems manually in homes, commercial enterprises and factories.

It leads to inefficient deployment of labor, wasteful use of productive time and a general reluctance to movement.

Manufacturing and Fabrication :
Powergates products are contract manufactured in plants in Malaysia, Italy and Taiwan. We also undertake design, fabrication and modification of gates and entrances as per customer’s requirements.

Human resource :
The company’s human resource comprises of 20 employees with 6 management, as well as engineering and technical staff, customer service, accounts, IT and sales staff. There are 6 departments’ namely technical, marketing, sales, accounts, operations and human resources.

Safety and Environmental Policy :
In its operating procedures the company is guided by the philosophy that our employees are valuable to us and to their families. Our safety standards cover a range of areas including use of personal protective equipment, first aid and fire emergency guidelines, cordon safety in work areas as well as no damage to the environment, toxic emissions, noise levels, littering and no harm to animals. Our staff is trained and competent to perform the work they are undertaking and have in place emergency scenarios before commencing work.

Social Causes :
As part of social responsibility, Powergates has adopted the cause of development and upgrading the national human resource potential. It is a donor to the Citizen’s Foundation, an NGO pursuing the cause of education. In addition Powergates continues to patronize a local madrassah exposing its students to modern methods, computers and technical subject matter. The company also takes in students on internship each year from Karachi’s prestigious Institute of Business Management and the PAF –KIET as well as encouraging its staff to pursue higher and technical education while in paid employment. As a talent based enterprise in a knowledge economy, the company makes available to employees books, technical literature and access to the Internet to continuously expand their exposure and upgrade their skills.
